Look, it’s super easy to throw statistics at you like 40% of trans folks have attempted suicide, 1 in 3 have experienced homelessness - but you probably already know the numbers. Or you’ve lived them.

The real problem? Most “help” comes with strings attached. Prove you’re trans enough. Jump through these hoops. Wait 6 months. Get misgendered by your case worker. Get pathologized by your therapist. Get told you need to be “realistic” about your goals.

Meanwhile, trans-led organizations - the ones that actually work - get less than pennies of LGBTQ funding. We’re expected to run on passion and fundraisers while doing the work nobody else will do.

We just do the work. You need support? You get support. From someone who’s been exactly where you are.

We’re building our own systems. Making sure nobody has to choose between groceries and hormones. And doing it all without making people feel like charity cases.

Is it perfect? No. We’re figuring it out as we go. But it’s ours, it works, and it’s growing. #beyondthecistem
